Modeling Troupe Critiques From A Vlogger

The next video is from Emore'J Couture, a DC fashionista who has a channel on YouTube. Some of his videos are critiques of DC, Virginia, and Maryland area fashion shows. These are a mix of professional runway events and performance modeling productions. His vitriolic delivery will cause you to either be turned on or off, however for the most part he is correct in his critique of some of the less tactful things that happen in the urban fashion world.

The following video has Emore'J dishing his take on modeling troupes in the D.M.V. (DC, Maryland, and Virginia) area and where they need to go in terms of direction in the future. I concur with a lot of the key points to this advice mainly:

  • Being business minded
  • Quality over quantity (a few great walkers is better than a lot of mediocre ones)
  • Healthy living (staying up on cleaning the skin, TEETH)
  • Troupe leaders taking responsibility over their models' appearance, roles in the troupe, and overall lifestyle
  • Adequate model training
  • Out of shape models are a no no.
  • Personal upkeep. Musty or "that-time-of-the-month" odors is rude and obscene if they can be helped. Although if you are suffering from a medical issue (i.e. bacterial vaginosis, leaking fistulas, skin fungi, or etc.), please seek help to aggressively treat the affliction and let trusted friends/family know.
