Virginia State University's Kerojo Modeling Troupe - Competition Piece - East Carolina University - 2010

Feast your eyes on this lovely show from Kerojo, one of VSU's modeling troupes. I loved it! The rouines were different and precise, the clothing followed a black and silver color theme but each model had on unique and varied attire which was great. Whoever thought of placing the disk skirt with the train on one of the female models should get a shoe thrown at them for evoking my favorite disco diva, Grace Jones!

It would have been better if the black and silver motif was dropped to another color comingation when the girls changed out of the skirts and into the bathing suits. Yes I know they were part of the same outfits, but it's called a quick change! The music could have been a little more powerful but the Rihanna acapella section was original and I loved the backdrop. Overall, I give this production a B- or C+ from what is viewable of the whole piece. It has moments of sparke, but then slacks into boredom at some parts as well. A good job; could have been a lot worse. Work it Kerojo!
